Laser Remote welding

Remote Laserschweißen

The concept ROBO SCAN is not only connected with the new KUKA laser welding head but also with the method of an optimized robot path generating to reduce the move time between the laser joints.
With the huge working distance which could be variable adjusted from 270mm – 1500mm this head is a novelty on the laser market. The focus diameter will be constantly fixed over the complete working range.

Therefore excellent benefits could be gained regarding:

  • Profitability:

    • Large working distance allows:

      • Short step times – high output

      • Reduced welding splatter – reduced maintenance, low running costs

  • Flexibility:

    • 3D work envelope for optimal orientation on the workpiece

    • Adaptable to all common laser sources

    • Any orientation ofthe head possible during welding

  • Invest:
    • Low capital costs

    • system integration in the robot controler (KRC)

    • Easy to integrate. Easy to pogram
