Submerged Arc Welding |
Submerged arc welding is the fusion welding process with the highest fusing capability, thus allowing very fast welding speeds. Depending on application, there are various options to be chosen from: one-wire welding, two-wire welding or tandem welding. Common to all these alternatives are excellent metallurgical, mechanical and technological seam qualities. An additional advantage of the process is that it is executed almost without emission since the arc and welding pool are covered by powder and/or slag. |
The efficiency of the process is particularly evident when long seams or thick steel plate are to be welded. For this reason, it is eminently suitable for numerous applications in the manufacture of steel components, containers and goods vehicles. Automation with robots ensures increased flexibility and extends the range of components which can be produced.
