KUKA AG has won a major order amounting to a mid double digit Mio. EUR order volume for a complete body-in-white system of an international carmaker for a factory in Brazil. A first tranche of about 50% of the total order volume has been booked already in Q2/10.
KUKA's Systems division will design and build a complete body-in-white production line. The highly automated system will enable the carmaker to produce several different variants of the planned vehicle model. This highly flexible system will be used to manufacture underbodies, body sides, framing and closures.
