At KUKA Headquarters in Augsburg, around 1.000 employees work together to produce tailored automation solutions for customers in the Automotive, Aerospace, Renewable Energies and Industrial Solutions sectors. Engineering, mechanical and electrical design, global purchasing, project management, and assembly – both in-house and at the customer’s site – together with commissioning, training and customer support services: these make up the spectrum of services we offer our customers.
Innovative tools for robot-based automation, such as grippers, welding packages or robotic end effectors for gluing, sealing, drilling or riveting, are just as much part of our product range as the integration of these modules into custom-tailored automated production modules and cells or complete turnkey manufacturing lines.

Founded in 1982 as LSW Maschinenfabrik GmbH and now operating as KUKA Systems GmbH, we design and build assembly lines that give precision performance in the production shops of renowned car manufacturers and automotive suppliers throughout the world, assembling powertrain elements such as engines, cylinder heads, axles, transmissions and steering systems. In addition to our production facilities, which offer outstanding flexibility, precision and reliability, our services represent a major part of our product spectrum, with activities such as process planning, simultaneous engineering, customer training and after-sales service.
